For a long time, I was in a relationship with a guy who I thought was my soulmate. But as time went on, things began to change. He became controlling and possessive, always demanding to know where I was and who I was with. He would get angry over the smallest things and would often belittle me in public. I felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells around him. Despite all of this, I stayed in the relationship, hoping things would improve. I was convinced that I loved him and that he loved me too. But the truth was that the relationship was toxic and it was slowly destroying me from the inside out. One day, I finally gathered the courage to leave him. It wasn't easy, and I felt like I was leaving a huge part of myself behind. But I knew that I had to put myself first and get out of that toxic environment. So, I decided to take a chance and move to a new country. It was scary at first, being in a new place without any friends or family around. But slowly, I began to settle in and make new connections. I found a job that I loved and started exploring all that my new home had to offer. And the best part? I finally felt free. Looking back, I can't believe how much I put up with in that relationship. But I'm so grateful that I finally had the strength to leave and start fresh. So to any of you out there who might be struggling in a toxic relationship, please know that you deserve better.
