After a heavy lifting day on Friday, high volume deadlifts, box jumps and hanging knee raises were unwelcome. My body is feeling it.
These shorts are called bum bums and are meant for hot yoga. But I like to wear them in the gym. They do ride up though 😉 so I’m not sure I could get away with them at my public gym.

I loved this evening’s workout. I got to lift heavy. Bench press, shoulder press, push jerks, back squats, and front squats. There were a LOT of reps and a LOT of weight for back squats. I’m ready to have a relaxing Friday night on the sofa. 💙

It’s freezing today so I am wearing jeans and a big hoodie to work. Don’t worry! I’ll be wearing booty shorts later. I looked at my programming for this evening and I will have 100 burpees, 100 pull-ups, and then a lot of squatting to increase my capacity. Gonna be a fun workout 😳

Today’s workout almost killed me. I used the RX weight even though I am not really an RX athlete. It was a triplet of fairly high volume of V-ups, deadlifts, and the assault bike. If you’ve ever done 25 deadlifts then gotten on an assault bike, then you know your legs are done.
I went hard today because it was Monday and I was stressed and in a MOOD. I did feel good afterwards. Also, I often have matching sports bras to match my shorts or leggings, but today I had a matching towel!! It’s so cute and so extra 💕 BTW don’t judge my V-ups. That video was somewhere in the 60-rep range at that point.

Has anyone tried hot wax in the bedroom? This was my first time trying it. I’m good with a little pain and submission, but had never let anyone drip wax on me before. I feel like I have a pretty high pain tolerance but hot wax definitely made me wince and twitch. The verdict is still out on whether I will do it more often. I’m always willing to try something new though. What do you think, hot or not? Do I look sexy? 🥵😏

Today I worked out at the public gym. I would have worn booty shorts here but was somewhere very cold beforehand. I like being able to do farmers carry, wall walks, hyperextensions, and some other exercises that I cannot do in my home gym. I might be back later tonight with some more pics. 😉 Happy Saturday!!

I know I should do my 500m rowing sprints that I skipped earlier in the week, but if I have a choice between cardio and lifting heavy, give me a barbell any day! I benched 100lb and I was very happy with that. It was super easy and I wanna hit 105lb. I might try on Monday. I also did lots of sets of 2 clean & jerks. Nothing better than throwing weight around on a Friday night 😘
